It has been one year since I first met two inspiring mother runners fighting cancer. Thanks to our love for The Afghan Whigs and running, our friendship has grown and our Congregation to Conquer Cancer continues. We ran the Nike Women's Half Marathon DC together and we're all training for marathons while raising money to fight cancer. This year, Anne will run the New York City Marathon with DetermiNation to support the American Cancer Society. Malinda will run the Chicago Marathon with Team Lemon to support Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer.
